GMA Summary
This bill would provide for the "Georgia Religious Freedom Restoration Act." The bill would prohibit a governemnt, including cities, from substantially burdening a person's exercise of religion. A government could only substantially burden the exercise of religion if it furthers a compelling government interest and is done in the least restrictive means.
The bill provides a right of action against the governemtn to obatain appropraite relief and allows for the prevailing party, not including the government, to be awarded attorney's fees.
