HB 244 — Local Government Audits: Provide an Alternative Method of Reporting for Small Cities

This bill allows cities with annual revenue that is less than $2.5 million to utilize and alternative method of financial reporting to the state auditor in lieu of a full annual audit.  By adopting this alternative method, smaller cities may stay in compliance with state law and also reduce the time and expense necessary to complete the financial reporting requirements.
